Updating my DA page a bit

I've uploaded a few of the drawings I've done over the past ~9 months.
Mainly my favourite things, or things which I find amusing.
I haven't updated it in ages, so I'm finally getting around to it.
I'm far more active over on my tumblr blogs, but it's nice to upload stuff here too occasionally I guess, heh.

Ponycon AU

So, this weekend is PonyConAU!
If anyone is gonna be in town you should stop by, it's probably gonna be a lot of fun for people who aren't sitting behind a table all day.
Speaking of which, I'm gonna be sitting behind a table all day. The reason for this is that I will be selling buttons and prints (so long as I can actually get the prints tomorrow, I got a buttload of buttons though).

This is a new journal entry since the last one was from January. It was also kinda outdated too.
Ya know, I've noticed that a lot of people confuse anatomy and style. On the MLPArtConfessions tumblr you always see people saying "I wish people didn't criticise people on their anatomy, it's their own choice, it's their style". That's not right.
Anatomy is the underlying structure that you stylise. You can have incredibly exaggerated and extreme styles without having bad anatomy (Joey Waggoner being a very good example of that).
Bad anatomy, on the other hand, is just bad anatomy, and there's no excuse for it.
You might say that "they're just cartoons, cartoons don't follow anatomy either". That's just simply not the case. Ponies from the show are consistent with a stylised version of real horse anatomy. There are occasionally exaggerations, but it's not bad anatomy.
Trust me, your "style" will look many times better with proper anatomy.

The next tutorial in the series iiiiiiiis. *drumroll*
Okay, muzzles won the poll by quite a large margin, that's the next one I'm making.
I'm thinking it'll be for both males and females, alicorns, and young/baby ponies.
It'll be rather comprehensive I hope.
Anyway, stuff is good. I went to South Australia and had a bunch of fun at the meetup. Drew some crap and acquired some cool drawings. I also met so many awesome people.
Welp, back to drawing!
