Looks at page 24: Oh! That's why I couldn't draw my pony smiling with her mouth open! The mouth being open changes the curve that forms the snout slightly. This tutorial is amazing.

Awesome Tutorial! I struggle with the 3Q view so this helped alot. Another thing I struggle on is mane designs. The horror! I either do them too thin or too flat. Any tips?

Try doing the tail first, where you can be a little more relaxed and crazy. Then, come back to the upper hairs and try to match the style of the tail, so it can be just as crazy while still fit.
About the flatness, imagine the hair being "puffy" rather than compressed. Again, if you have a crazy enough tail design, it shouldn't be too flat.

I'll revise the tutorials eventually and put up some new links. Unforuntately I don't know of any to replace them at the moment.

Can you recommend a good body proportion/posing tutorial? ^^

Originally, I was going to do Pinkie Pie. I did the whole face and ears, but the mane was way too hard. I changed the colors and made Applejack instead because her mane is a lot easier. So, I did end up doing Applejack even though I didn't see your comment then. I used your pic as a reference. Here's the link: www.deviantart.com/art/Appleja…

Awesome!
Pinkie Pie's mane is really annoying, it takes so much practice to get it right, and even then it's still super hard. I reckon it's harder than Rarity's.

I've made Rarity's mane and if you have a picture in front of you it's relatively easy. It still takes a super long time, though.
